Museum Passes
The Stowe Free Library offers several passes good for free admission and/or significant discounts to Vermont museums and Vermont State Parks.
Billings Farm and Museum. Our pass is good for admission for two adults and any number of children under 18.
ECHO Lake Aquarium in Burlington. The pass will allow you to pay an admission fee of just two dollars per person for a party of up to two adults and three children.
Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium in St. Johnsbury. Our family pass allows for free admission to the Museum and scheduled Planetarium shows for two adults and their children under 18.This pass is made possible through a gift of the Friends of Stowe Free Library.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston. Our newest pass offers a discounted admission of $5 to the Museum. Patrons must choose either the Saturday or Sunday & Monday pass (2 people at $5) or the Tuesday to Friday pass (4 people at $5). This pass is made possible through a gift of the Friends of Stowe Free Library.
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The Stowe Free Library has a collection of 70 passes available for one-time use. The pass allows for two people to enter the MFA for $5 per person as well as an upgrade to a special exhibition ticket for an additional $8. You must hand in the pass at the MFA ticket desk. This pass program is made possible through a gift of the Friends of Stowe Free Library.
Shelburne Farms.The family pass allows free family admission to the walking trails and children's farm yard.This pass is made possible through a generous donation from Shelburne Farms.
VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Science)
in Quechee. The pass allows for free admission for four people. In the fall and winter, be sure to check if VINS is open before heading down, as they are usually open only on the weekends and during some school vacations.

Vermont State Parks. Explore the beauty of our state parks with a free day pass. This pass allows free entry into the State Park day areas for up to 8 people in one vehicle. In the fall and winter, be sure to check the hours of the park you want to visit to make sure the park is open. This pass was made possible through a partnership with the Vermont State Parks and the Vermont Department of Libraries.
All of our passes circulate for two days and are available on a "first come, first serve" basis. If you call us at 253.6145 and the pass you want is avaialble, we will hold it for you to pick up that same day.
