Children is grades k-3 can enter a national writing contest sponsored by PBS television with the following community partners: Ben & Jerry's, Vermont Public Television, the Children's Literacy Foundation, the Vermont Department of Libraries, Flying Pig Bookstore and others. Grand prize winners of the state contest will automatically be entered into the national PBS contest. Stories must have between 50 and 200 words for grades K and 1 and between 100 and 350 words for grades 2 & 3. Stories can be fiction, poetry, or based on fact.
