Board Meeting Thursday, January 4, 2018

 

In attendance: Barbara Bauman, Connie Carrino, Kelley Spear, Louise Thompson, Carol Stevens, Donna Penndorf, Ronna Ziegel, Bonnie Knight and Margot Hall

Ronna Ziegel opened the meeting at 3:30pm and the minutes of the September 7, 2017 were accepted.

Lisa Grady has moved and her name is being removed from the FSFL checking account at the Union Bank.  Bonnie Knight agreed to fill the position vacated by Lisa as the additional signature of the FSFL checking account with the bank.

Carol Stevens gave the Treasurer’s Report:

  • The balance in the Union Bank account is $65,104.00
  • The money market has a balance of $5,045.00
  • Nothing has been decided about the $5,150.00 Memorial Gift for David Tilgner.  Bonnie will pursue information.
  • The discussion regarding upholstery and charis was to be tabled until Cindy Weber returns from her trip due to lack of information.

Book Sale Committee:

Barbara Bauman made a motion that the Book Sale Comm. Can research and purchase tables up to the amount of $500.00. Seconded by Donna Penndorf. Approved unanimously.

Membership Committee: Reported by Barbara Bauman and Connie Carrino.

158 memberships this year.

Annual Membership Drive is usually in October.  This year it was done in November.  They are observing the results to see if the calendar changes brought a different result.

In Your Own Backyard Committee:

The Chairperson position is now open.  There is also a need for programs ideas and speakers.  January, February and March are open dates and the FSFL Annual Meeting in May.

A motion to adjourn was made by Kelley Spear and seconded by Bonnie Knight.  It was unanimously approved.
