Inter-Library Loan
If an item is not in the library catalog, we may be able to get it for you from another library in Vermont through an Inter-library loan

- Audio books
- DVDs
- Music CDs
- Individual journal articles
What can I not request??
- Items already owned by the library
- Items published in the last 6 months
- Textbooks
- Oversized Books
- Magazine Issues
- TV Series
- Digital Books (ebooks)
Notifications:
We will notify you if the item is not availiable within the Vermont Library system. If an item is avaiable, we will contact you when the library has received it. The standard amount of time that a request takes is 7-10 days to arrive to our library.
Inter-library Loan (ILL) Limits:
Items are usually loaned out for 2 weeks and renewals can be requested but that is at the lending library's discretion.
If you have a current Stowe Free Library card in good standing, this PDF form can be filled out, saved and emailed directly to the interlibrary loan librarian, Marena Youngs. If you would prefer, you can stop by the library to fill out a paper form.
